Pomelo, the first fragrance created for Jo Loves, was born from Jo’s walks on the pristine beaches of Parrot Cay Island in the Turks and Caicos during a holiday with her husband Gary and son Josh. During this trip, Jo was grappling with the pressure of reigniting her creativity, which had eluded her for five years. Each morning, she awoke with a mix of anxiety and frustration, wondering if she would ever be able to create fragrance again.

To clear her mind, Jo would leave her sandals and hat on her sunbed and set off along the beach, hoping the serene environment would inspire her. One morning, as she walked, a baby stingray appeared alongside her, mirroring her movements in the gentle waves. This simple, magical moment sparked something within her—a reminder that her creativity was still there, waiting to be rediscovered.

The fresh scent of sparkling water, the sight of rolled white beach towels, and the aroma of lemongrass broth cooking for lunch all came together in Jo’s mind as symbols of new beginnings.
