It was in 1999 that Clive Christian took the helm of one of the oldest British perfume houses, Crown Perfumery, first honored 135 years ago when Queen Victoria herself granted him the right to use the crown as a symbol of the highest quality and British excellence of its products. Clive Christian revives the original values of the house by creating pure fragrances, with complex formulations, composed of the most precious natural ingredients from the four corners of the British Empire.
This vision led to the creation of the definitive collection of Clive Christian perfumes - 1872, X and No1, - which was to be recognized in the Guinness Book of Records as the most expensive perfume in the world. Clive Christian has 77 perfumes in our fragrance base. The earliest edition was created in 1872 and the newest is from 2020. Clive Christian fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Beverley Bayne, Mike Parrot, Christian Provenzano, Angela Stavrevska, Julie Pluchet, Celia Orozco Cirimbilli, Geza Schoen and Tim Gage.
